This big Tamu, or open market, offers a great variety of produce, especially local foods, fruits, vegetables and handicrafts. Most of the vendors of these items are from the inland forest areas, who come here to sell their produce and also to buy for their own needs. The Tamu is open Thursday from 7am to 12pm, and is located about 1 km from the centre of town.
